The thyroid blood test determines your thyroid hormones. The thyroid is a gland in the neck area. What do we determine?
Blood: TSH
TSH stands for thyroid stimulating hormone. TSH is a hormone from the brain. It has an effect on the thyroid gland. When TSH comes into contact with the thyroid gland, it turns on the production of FT3 and FT4. These are the hormones that the thyroid gland releases. These hormones play an important role in the body's metabolism, especially FT3.TSH increases during stressful moments in life, but also during moments of development of the body. TSH from the pituitary gland is stimulated by yet another hormone from the brain. It is actually inhibited by FT3 and FT4. It is therefore important to also determine this thyroid hormone, especially FT4, to determine thyroid diagnoses. However, when the TSH is normal, it is actually unnecessary to test the fT4. Blood: FT4 (thyroxine)
FT4 or T4 or thyroxine are all names for the same hormone in different stages (the F stands for free). FT4 consists of, among other things, iodine (which is found in salt) and therefore plays an important role in the body's metabolism. FT4 is more common than FT3 in a 14:1 ratio. Choose the thyroid blood test when:- Your general misunderstood have complaints such as fatigue

When to test?
It is recommended for complaints described here to do this test once and then every 6-9 months after starting medication. If the results are negative, no follow-up testing is necessary. If the results are inconclusive, we will conduct further research for antibodies (Graves' disease, Hashimoto's disease )How accurate is the Schildklier blood test?
The accuracy of the test for Schildklier is conducted through ISO-certified laboratories. The accuracy of a test method is expressed in terms of specificity and sensitivity.
